Cosmos

The duo stoneware sculptures were wheelthrown and modified during my Raku workshop in Sorano in 2026. The vessel walls were incised, inverted, and connected from within by a tunnel, as if in a time warp. The black vessel was burnished by knife. Following tape masking and transparent glaze, both sculptures completed their violent journey by fire, as smoke from olive wood found its way into every unglazed crack and surface to paint them raven-black.
